The video chronicles a mad scientist's descent into obsession as he becomes captivated by an otherworldly specimen unlike anything he has ever encountered. Their interactions grow increasingly bizarre and frightening. "Rise" draws inspiration in elements of horror by the likes of Samara (The Ring) and Kayako (The Grudge), as well as the movie Splice.
